Hell's Kitchen Updates


Salutations, buds. Welcome to our end of week devlog for Dead Heat.

This week will be a short one as I took off a few days for my Birthday. It also provided a good few days to rest after the manic nature of October.

We have been making good progress with the Hell's Kitchen Area, the new materials are being created to fill out the new buildings, adding a good balance of decay and repair. Some areas are more broken and abandoned than others, though most are still used.

Subway Entrance

This model will have greater significance in the full game as transport to other areas through the subway is one of many options to get around the city, with its own benefits and hazards.

Once the new materials are all added in, we will add smaller details and lighting to the scenes. Then we will be ready to move onto fleshing out Sonja's apartment.

On the technical side, we have a new programmer starting work on creating a new lip sync system for all the characters in UE4. The new system should be ready to show off by the 14th of November. Next week we will also be starting our casting recordings! Have to say, I am really looking forward to working with our voice cast!
