EGX Rezzed
Hello everyone and welcome to our end of week devlog for Dead Heat.
This has been one hell of a week for us! So let's get to it!
I (Lee) traveled to EGX Rezzed at the tobacco docks in London on Thursday, arriving at around 11:14 due to traditional London traffic. I had a meeting scheduled at 11:15, so I quickly checked in, got my orange tag and rushed to the meeting point. I was able to meet up with Matthew (a couple minutes late), one of my planned meetings that day. I was able to sit down and talk with him about possibly showing Dead Heat at the next event, either through the Leftfield collection or through buying a booth of our own. We will be exploring our options for the next convention in October.
I had some time to kill until my next meeting at 12:00, so I stopped by the folks at Billie Bust Up to try out the game for myself. I hope everyone was able to check it out while they were there!
I had two other meetings planned, but unfortunately due to sickness or otherwise, they needed to cancel. This gave me some time to meet with those presenting at the expo. I managed to meet Volker Ritzhaupt of Application Systems Heidelberg. We will hopefully be able to show him a working vertical slice demo of Dead Heat soon.
We also got the chance to meet Armaan Sandhu of Frostwood Interactive; the developers of Rainswept. He was extremely friendly and couldn't wait to try the game out. I hope you had the chance to meet him and try the demo!
Unfortunately, I couldn't stay for more than a day due to work. But I'm happy I got the chance to attend and meet everyone there. This was the first time attending a convention as part of an industry, and certainly, the first time setting up meetings.
I am arranging video meetings with those who had to cancel at the event this week. We will return to work on the demo on Monday to have everything ready within the week if not next week. We will let you all know how everything goes through our twitter updates, so stay tuned!
Thank you for reading our devlog. These are exciting times indeed!
